Trusts & Grants Fundraising Officer
Age UK Southampton is dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing, independence and quality of life of vulnerable older people. We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual with at least one years' experience of applying for grants and funding to join our friendly team. This exciting part-time post (20-25 hours per week) will play a crucial role in delivering our vision for Southampton to be a city in which people flourish in later life.
The focus of the role is to maximise income from trusts, foundations, statutory and corporate donors under the supervision of the Chief Officer, achieving individual fundraising targets. This will include researching prospective donors, writing and submitting grant applications. You will be achieving individual fundraising targets which will be reviewed annually.
A proven track record of successful applications from Trusts and other grant making bodies is required, along with a positive, can do attitude. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential; particularly the ability to communicate passionately and persuasively the value of Age UK Southampton’s work.
Closing Date for applications: 5pm, Friday 21 December. Interviews will be held early in the new year.
