We're a local charity working in the community to support older people, their families and carers. We want everyone to be able to love later life.

Who we are

Age UK Thanet is an independent local charity. Previously we were known as Margate Age Concern, becoming Age UK Thanet in 2012 and Age UK Thanet Ltd in 2013. That same year, Broadstairs Age Concern and Ramsgate Age Concern were amalgamated into Age Uk Thanet so we now cover the whole Thanet area.

We provide services and companionship to all people over 50 years of age, and our mission and vision is to improve later life for everyone in the Thanet Area.

Where you can find us

Our main office and day centre is based in Randolph House, Zion Place, Cliftonville, a building we have been located in since 2002. Our charity shop is on the High Street in Margate.

How we are funded

We rely on your support to keep serving the community. We are supported by donations from the public, income from our charity shops, and some charitable grants.
