Age is Just a Number

We're thrilled to announce the launch of ‘Age is Just a Number,’ a brand new programme developed in collaboration with Hypatia Analytics UK and Age UK Wandsworth! This exciting initiative is designed to spark curiosity, foster cognitive stimulation, and build social connections for our senior clients.

At Age UK Wandsworth, we believe that engagement and lifelong learning are vital, regardless of age. That's why ‘Age is Just a Number’ offers a unique approach to keeping minds active and spirits bright. Our programme focuses on creative and accessible activities, thoughtfully designed to be enjoyable and beneficial for all participants, including those with mild cognitive challenges.

The programme will unfold over several weeks, with a series of interactive workshops held at our Gwynneth Morgan Day Centre. Each session is crafted to be a blend of mental engagement and genuine enjoyment, using innovative formats to explore familiar aspects of daily life in a fresh and stimulating way. Think creative expression, playful exploration, and engaging narratives – all designed to make learning a truly inclusive and relevant experience.

We're incredibly grateful for the initial support we've received from the London Mathematical Society which has allowed us to pilot this programme and begin to evaluate its positive impact. This pilot phase is crucial for us to refine our approach and lay the groundwork for a wider rollout, ensuring ‘Age is Just a Number’ can benefit even more senior clients in the future.
