Grand Day Out

Our lunch club members attend a fantastic day out to Keswick on Tuesday 11th October 2022, organised by Stagecoach busses with the support of Andrew Pryde.

We all met at Workington bus station met by member of staff from Stagecoach, delivering or free bus pass for staff and lunch club customers using there concessionary buss pass. It was wonderful to travel though our beautiful countryside, making the most of the view, the view you wouldn't notice while driving.

The X5 bus pulled into Keswick and we all felt like celebrity's being met off the bus by the press and the Mayor, what a welcome. Andrew organised a visit to Keswick museum and a good time was had by all. After the museum we strolled down through the lovely streets of Keswick to have a light lunch in Wetherspoons and a quizz with prizes set by Andrew. Our winner, with a whopping 9/10 correct answers was our lovely Rita - well done!
