Dementia Awareness Training

What is it?
Age UK Wyvern can come to your business to deliver an engaging and interactive training session on dementia awareness. To book your session, please email or call our team for more information.
Our Dementia Awareness Training provides:
- A general overview of the different types of dementia, their presentation and stages.
- Ways to help reduce the risk of developing the condition.
- Human rights and emphasis on living well with dementia.
More about the sessions:
- Delivered by Kelly Reeves: PG Cert in Person-Centred Dementia Studies, with lived and professional experience, and highly commended at the Hennell Award 2025 for Innovation and Excellence in Dementia Care (University of Worcester).
- Sessions are delivered for 2 hours and to a maximum of 20 people per session.
- Empower yourself, or your colleagues, with the knowledge and confidence to support people living with dementia.
Host a session
There is a charge of £250 for a member of our team to come to your organisation to provide Dementia Awareness Training. Please email or call our team for more infrormation and to discuss availability.

Dementia Action Week 2026
Dementia Action Week takes place from 18th to 24th May 2026 and focuses this year on the stories behind the forget-me-not symbol. We will be running a schedule of activities throughout the week.
