Stephanie Peacock MP visits Age UK Barnsley

Barnsley East MP Stephanie Peacock this week (10th July) visited Age UK Barnsley’s Queens Road offices and toured the newly launched Elizabeth Activity and Care Centre and Ken Littlewood Suite.

Commenting, Age UK Barnsley CEO Debby Bunn said:

“We were delighted to welcome Stephanie Peacock MP to Age UK Barnsley and showcase some of the work we are doing to support older people in her constituency and right across the Barnsley Borough.

“Stephanie has always been a big supporter of our work and we are grateful that she took the time to visit us and see first-hand the support we provide for older residents.”

“I was pleased to visit Age UK Barnsley’s new Elizabeth Activity and Care Centre.

“This was a really impressive facility that I am sure will make an important difference to people across Barnsley.

“The facility offers a range of activities, from beauty treatments to choir, bingo and quizzes.

“I would like to send my thanks to the team at Age UK Barnsley for all the work they do to support older people and their families, and thank you to everyone involved in arranging this visit.

“It was great to meet staff and residents, and even have a game of sit down table tennis!”
