Scam Alert: Emails Impersonating Age UK

We have been made aware of a phishing scam using Age UK's name to target members of the public.

What’s happening?

Scammers are sending fake emails offering a “Free Age UK Health Monitoring Kit.” These emails are not from Age UK. They misuse our name and branding to trick people into clicking malicious links.

What to look out for:

• Sender: May appear as “Age UK - Health Monitoring”

• Too-good-to-be-true offers: Free kits, urgent deals

• Unusual links: Hover over them. Do they lead somewhere odd?

• Poor grammar or formatting

• Suspicious contact details

What to do if you receive one:

• ❌ Do not click on any links or open attachments

• ❌ Do not forward the email to others

• ✅ Forward it to the National Cyber Security Centre: report@phishing.gov.uk 

• 🗑️ Delete it immediately after forwarding
