Guided Community Walks

Age UK Bexley runs two walking groups based in Danson Park and Lesnes Abbey. Join us to meet new people and keep active at the same time! The sessions are led by volunteers and will go at a pace suitable for the whole group. After each walk the group will go for a chat over tea or coffee.
Our walking groups are free to attend (walkers to purchase their own refreshments).
Click on the drop-down boxes below to find out more about each group and how to join.

Meeting Point: Danson Stables, Danson Park, Danson Road, Bexleyheath, DA6 8HL
Where possible, the group will split into two smaller groups to complete a longer and shorter route around the lake. Afterwards, everyone meets up at Danson Stables for tea or coffee.

Criteria for both Walking Groups
Although both walks are gentle strolls, please note walkers will need to be able to walk for 45 minutes without long breaks. Our volunteers can also not handle any clients and all clients will need to be able to walk unaided by a person.
If you are unsure whether this activity is right for you, a friend or family member, please do get in touch and speak to one of the team.
Unfortunately, dogs are not welcome on our community walks, except for assistance dogs.
