Come along to one of our Befriending Cafes across the borough for tea, a chat and meeting new people! In each cafe, you can expect games, quizzes and on occasion, guest speakers. All sessions are led by our friendly and welcoming team of volunteers.

Bexleyheath Cafe

When: Every Monday 11am-1pm

Regular activities: light exercises, games, bingo, and a quiz.

Bexleyheath Digital Support Cafe

When: Every Friday starting from 2nd of September 11.30am-1.30pm

Regular activities: Digital Support, Welfare Benefits supports games, bingo, and a quiz.

Belvedere Cafe

When: Every Tuesday 11am-1pm

Regular activities: games and bingo, and lots of chatting!

THE ROSEMARY CAFE

When: Every Monday 10.30-12.30 from the 10th of October

Regular activities: This cafe is for anyone experiencing early signs of Dementia or Memory loss. Carers are welcome to attend. Activities to stimulate memory and congitive functions. 

Welling Women's Group

When: Every Wednesday 10:30am-12:30pm

Regular activities: Bingo, raffles, light exercises, and games

Welling Men's Group

When: Every Wednesday 1:00pm-3:00pm

 Regular activities: pool, darts, music, and a weekly quiz

 

Blackfen Cafe

When: Every Thursday 10.30-12.30

Regular activities: weekly quiz, games, and lots of chatting!  

 

Crayford Cafe- Full with a waiting list

When: Every 11am-1pm

Our cafe will be moving from the 2nd of September to Wolsley House with a new time of 2-4pm

 

How to join:

To join, please register your interest by calling our main office on 0208 300 0883 or fill out our online form (On “Service Required”, please select “Befriending Cafes”).

Except for the sessions listed above with a waiting list, new clients can turn up to the cafes and register their contact details on the day.

Cost:

We offer a £10 membership per month by Standing order. Within this membership offer you can visit as many Age UK Bexley Befriending Cafes per month.
