We are proud to have established and developed a network of Lunch and Leisure Clubs throughout the borough of Bolton.
The clubs provide the perfect opportunity for people to come together in a warm, friendly and relaxed settting to enjoy a high quality, good value meal. Some of our clubs also organise other social activities such as bingo sessions, Chair Based Exercises groups & day trips out
Who can attend the Lunch and Leisure Clubs?
The clubs are open to all older people, particularly those who would benefit from social interaction and the opportunity to make new friends.
Do I have to book a place or can I just turn up on the day?
For catering purposes, we would ask that you book a place in advance.You will be asked to provide a few details in order for us to register you with the club.
Where are the clubs located?
We currently have clubs in the following areas:
- Astley Bridge
- Bromley Cross
- Hall i'th Wood
- Little Lever
- Tonge Fold
- Tonge Moor
What is the cost of attending the lunch clubs?
We keep the costs at a minimum to ensure that our clubs provide fantastic value for money. The cost of the two course meal is between £3 and £4. Some clubs make a small extra charge for additional activities such as bingo or a raffle.
What days/times are the clubs open?
The individual clubs usually operate one day a week. The times vary but as a general rule, lunch is usually served between 12.00 and 12.30pm. Additional activities will usually follow on after lunch. Please contact us for more detailed information on specific clubs.
Who can I contact for more information?
The clubs are all run entirely by teams of dedicated volunteers, who are supported by Age UK Bolton's Service Co-ordinators.
