NEW Activity: The Reader

Published on 09 April 2024 01:09 PM

We are thrilled to introduce a new in-person activity called 'The Reader', every Monday from 2-3pm!

The feedback received from our Zoom 'The Reader' sessions on Wednesdays has been invaluable, and we're excited to now offer a face-to-face group experience while continuing our online sessions on Wednesdays.

Date & Time: Every Monday from 2-3pm
Location: Scratchley Hall, 81 Brigstock Road, CR7 7JH
No booking/sign up necessary - just turn up and join in!

What to expect:

Led by a trained Reader Leader, a small group gathers in Scratchley Hall to enjoy the beauty of literature together. We'll read captivating novels, short stories, or poems aloud and pause to discuss our thoughts, feelings, and memories inspired by the readings. There's no pressure to read aloud or speak – you're welcome to simply listen and enjoy the experience.

Our aim is to create a comfortable space where everyone feels at ease to participate in the discussion.

Whether you're a literature enthusiast or simply want to listen and discuss literature in a friendly environment, 'The Reader' welcomes you with open arms.
