About Age Cymru West Glamorgan

We are a local charity providing a range of services to our clients, families and carers across the Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and Bridgend areas promoting wellbeing, helping people to age well and live independently. 

Role Description:

We are looking for enthusiastic and creative individuals to help us organise innovative community fundraising activities. We need a group of people to cooperatively design ways to raise funds and enable Age Cymru West Glamorgan to continue our vital work. Liaising with our Chief Officer and key members of the Leadership team, this is a crucial role and will include ongoing training to ensure you are well-versed in the work of the charity and our vision for the future.

Hours: Minimum 3 hours per week. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 09:00 – 16:30
Location: Cwmdu, Swansea

What will you do?

  • Build and enjoy a network of support for older people living in communities within Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and Bridgend.  
  • Design and implement exciting fundraising activities throughout the region.
  • Collaboratively identify places, individuals and community groups who can help us to raise funds and awareness.
  • Create social connections and alleviate isolation for the older people in your community.

 

What will you gain?

 Please note this is a voluntary position. Age Cymru West Glamorgan will reimburse volunteers for out of pocket travel costs including public transport costs.
