About Age Cymru West Glamorgan

We are a local charity providing a range of services to our clients, their families and carers across the Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and Bridgend areas promoting wellbeing and helping people to age well and live independently.

Role Description:   

Liaising with our team of Outreach Volunteers and our waiting list of clients who have requested support completing Attendance Allowance forms. The role would include telephoning clients to arrange the details of each visit and ensuring the team of volunteers have the information and resources they need to complete the forms and send them to the DWP.

Hours: Minimum 4 hours per week. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 09:00 – 16:30
Location: Cwmdu, Swansea

What will you do?

  • Telephone volunteers to check their availability and client location.
  • Contact the client to gather relevant information and inform them that a volunteer will be in touch to make an appointment.
  • Update our online client database and log the details of the conversation.
  • Complete the dates on forms and send them.

  • Empathy, patience, and a desire to make a difference.
  • Ability to communicate well on the telephone.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Computer literate – comfortable with Microsoft 365.
