Wednesday 12th November
Live Stronger for Longer and our Information Roadshow are at the Amber Valley Wellbeing drop in at William Gregg Leisure Centre
Thursday 13th November
The Information Roadshow are at the Dementia Hub in Ilkeston Hospital 1:30 - 3:30pm to discuss Life history, memory boxes and
cognitive stimulation therapy.
The Live Stronger for Longer team have an Otago 1 day course - course places booked in advance

THURSDAY 4 DECEMBER - CHRISTMAS BREAK UP LUNCH CLUB
We will return in the New Year, Thursday 8 January 2026
TUESDAY 2 DECEMBER -
CHRISTMAS LIGHT SWITCH ON FROM 5.30pm
Lots of stalls in the centre including food, tombola and raffle
SUNDAY 7 DECEMBER - CHADDESDEN CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL
Lots going on in Chaddesden that day with stalls along the street and stalls in the Jubilee Club … Just remember there will be a road closure that day
WEDNESDAY 10 DECEMBER - CHRISTMAS FILM
The film is free and begins at 2.00pm. If you would like a lunch its £5 and is served at 1pm. You do need to pre-book lunch in advance
THURSDAY 11 DECEMBER – AFTERNOON TEA
We are again invited to The Rotary Club of Derby afternoon tea at
St Alkmunds Church
We will leave at 12noon and return at 4.30pm, it’s a free event with transport provided from the Centre
Speak to Di regarding home pick up and return
SUNDAY 14 DECEMBER - CHRISTMAS WITH THE ELDERBERRIES
Being held at the Jubilee Club 2.00pm to 5.30pm
60S band playing all the songs we know to get us into the Christmas spirit. Raffle and Christmas bingo, feel free to bring your own nibbles
WEDNESDAY 17 DECEMBER …CHRISTMAS SINGALONG 1 TILL 4
Come along and sing into Christmas with our fortnightly group including a Christmas raffle.
Tickets £3 inc food and tea/coffee
THURSDAY 25 DECEMBER - CHRISTMAS DAY

as we will be doing Christmas Day dinner

Runs on Fridays throughout Christmas and New Year, weather permitting (except Boxing Day)
Weekly events at Chaddesden Day Centre
Monday
- Tea Dance - 10am till 12pm. The weekly session fee is £3. Tea/Coffee 50p. A friendly get together enjoying a dance and learning dance basics. Advisable to phone for dates and availability 01332 674562.
- Happy lungs social group - 2nd Monday of every month 2pm till 4pm. A social /support group for anyone living with breathing /respiratory conditions. Contact Karen on 07999330494 or Jacky on 07572106918.
- ‘Tootsies’ Footcare. Affordable footcare once a month for over 50s. For further information call 01773 766922.

Tuesday
- Art Group - 10am till 12pm, £2.00 per session. All abilities welcome to share your talents. At the moment our membership has a couple of vacancies. Call Di for more information 01332 674562.
- Forever Active - 12.30pm. Forever Active is a new healthy activity programme, tailored to your specific needs. It combines continual one-to-one support and activity advice to keep you motivated.

Chaddesden Ladies Tuesday Club - 2.15pm till 3.45pm. The Chaddesden Ladies Tuesday Club meet every week at the Age UK DD community building. Please contact 01332 674562 for more information.
Wednesday
- Forever Active - 10.30am till 11.30am. This is a new healthy activity programme, tailored to your specific needs. It combines one-to-one support and activity advice to keep you motivated. Activity sessions including the Healthy Bones and Energizer class. Further activity sessions across the city including walking football.
- Free fortnightly film screening - from 2pm but if you would like to purchase a light bite lunch its £5 from 1pm prior to the film. The lunch is an option but we will have tea and coffee available too. All the old favourites you will know. Contact the Centre on 01332 674562 Alternate Wednesdays “Sing Along Group” £3.50 including Refreshments.
Thursday
- Chair Based Exercise - 9.30 to 10.45am
- Weekly Lunch Group - 11 am till 1pm, donation £4.00 (Waiting list). Two-course lunch and a weekly Raffle. Contact the Centre for details 01332 674562.
- Thursday Afternoon Craft Group -1.30pm till 3.30pm. Come along with your own craft or look to start one. Contact the Centre 01332 674562 for details.

Hatha Yoga - 6.30pm to 7.45pm. Ladies Gentle Yoga Class £8 per session. Classes are suitable for all levels of ability, come and join us. Contact Gabrielle on 07923 608938
Friday
- Friday Friends - 10am till 12pm. Come and enjoy some tea and toast and have a natter. No booking required and all will receive a warm welcome.

Rock of All Ages Choir -11.30am. Now practice at the Jubilee Club Chaddesden. Everyone welcome - £3.50 cost per session.
Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays - Please ask for availability on these days. We do sometimes hold one off weekend events but some of the dates will be free. Contact the Centre 01332 674562

LSFL exercise classes
Exercises 1: WARM-UP
To help you keep active at home, our Live Stronger for Longer team have put together a series of short videos with simple exercises to help improve your mobility, cardiovascular fitness, balance, strength and flexibility. You won’t need any special equipment, but if you have a theraband and have learned to use this from a Live Stronger for Longer (was Strictly No Falling) instructor, you may choose to use this during the strength component.

Day centres
Day centres offers door to door transport, recreational and lifelong learning activities, a full meal and social opportunities. Day services also provides respite for carers. Day services are in Bakewell, Hope, and Hulland Ward.

Chaddesden Park Centre
Health, wellbeing, social and day care activities in a wellbeing centre in Chaddesden Park, Derby. Also the home to the Rock of all Ages choir.
