Information & Advice

At Age UK Devon, we offer free, impartial and confidential advice on a wide range of issues affecting people in later life, their families and carers.

Talking through your concerns

We know that benefits and social care, in particular, can be very complicated and confusing. Current Welfare Reforms are resulting in very confusing and often contradictory reports in the press. We aim to answer your questions and explain procedures in a friendly and straightforward way.

We believe that with a little support and the right information most people are able to make their own informed decisions and choices. We can talk through your concerns and provide clear information literature.

We also work closely with other respected organisations and if we feel it would result in a better outcome for you we can help you make contact with them.

Trained advisors

Our fully trained advisors can provide a full benefits check to establish eligibility for Pension Credit, Housing and Council Tax benefit and Disability benefits.

We can also advise on health and social care matters, housing issues and provide details of services and social activities in your area. At Age UK Devon we will not share your information with anyone else, without your permission.

You can contact us by phone, post or email or you can make an appointment to see an advisor in person.
