Community Gardeners Sub-contractors
Age UK Ealing is looking to expand its approved list of self-employed gardening sub-contractors to start from April 2026.
We are looking for:
- Self-employed, experienced and passionate gardeners to work in partnership with us in helping older people across the London Borough of Ealing keep their gardens thriving
- People who are caring and have excellent customer service qualities
The requirements:
- Experienced gardener with relevant training and qualifications
- Available to work minimum of 18 hours per week from April to October
- Satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and references
- Hold public liability insurance, with £1m minimum cover
- Must have their own tools, equipment and van
- Have Waste Carrier Certificate of Registration
- Able to dispose your own gardening waste lawfully
- Have empathy when dealing with older and vulnerable people
- Able to comply with Health & Safety requirements
- Able to manage personal information confidentially and with care
What we offer:
- An agreement with a competitive rate £180 – £240 per day
