Community Gardeners with their own Private Van

 

Age UK Ealing is recruiting for experienced and passionate Community Gardeners to support older people across the London Borough of Ealing to start from April 2026.

 

We are looking for:

  • Experienced and passionate gardeners to work to help older people across the London Borough of Ealing keep their gardens thriving
  • People who are caring and have excellent customer service qualities

 

The requirements:

  • Experienced gardener with relevant training and qualifications
  • Available to work minimum of 18 hours per week from April to October
  • Satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and references
  • You must provide and use your own private van for work
  • Able to dispose your own gardening waste lawfully
  • Have empathy when dealing with older and vulnerable people
  • Able to comply with Health & Safety requirements
  • Able to manage personal information confidentially and with care

What we offer:

  • Good rate of pay £15 per hour or £105 per day
  • Fixed term contract with flexible working days/hours to suit you
  • Paid holidays
  • Provide you with the tools and equipment
  • Cover your vehicle insurance premium for use of own vehicle
