Age UK Ealing is seeking to recruit a minimum of two part-time experienced Minibus Drivers for our Well-being Day Centre and our new Shopping services for older people in Ealing.  

The Day Centre service will involve picking up a group of older people from their homes in the morning and bringing them to the Wellbeing Day Centre and a return journey back home in the afternoon on Mondays and Thursdays.

The Shopping service will involve picking up a group of older people from their homes and taking them shopping to local supermarkets and a return journey back home on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

 

Hours required: 14 hours (2 days) or 21 hours (3 days) per week

Salary: £10,100 or £15,150 per year depending on working hours per week

Location: Greenford, London

Age UK Ealing has highly motivated staff and volunteers with passion for supporting older people through various our services and has an experienced and diverse Board of Trustees.

Drivers must hold current, clean and valid driving licence D1 unrestricted or D1 restricted (car licence obtained prior to 01/01/1997) and with a good knowledge of the Borough of Ealing.

We are looking for passionate, caring, punctual and reliable drivers as this is a lifeline to those who use our services. Age UK Ealing services are a way of combating loneliness and isolation among the older people.

Drivers need to be patient, able to communicate with passengers and staff, and understand the importance of clients relying on them to access these services.
