A Different Journey Memory Cafe

This is a group for people with dementia and carers, especially those who are newly diagnosed.

The group meets on the first Tuesday of every month between 10.30-12.00pm

Forget Me Not Café

A relaxed, monthly event focused on memory-friendly activities, music, and emotional support for those affected by dementia.

The café is held at Cherith Church on the third Tuesday of every month between 2.00-4.00pm.

The Ness Care Group

The Ness Care Group provides specialist, clinically led support for people experiencing memory changes and dementia, with a focus on early and middle stages.
Support includes small group Cognitive Stimulation Therapy, which is recommended by the NHS, alongside advice, coaching and guidance for individuals and families, professional training, and online support across Devon and beyond. CST is a structured, evidence based approach that supports thinking, communication and everyday confidence, delivered by trained facilitators with specialist knowledge of dementia and cognitive health.
 
The Memory Hub in Exmouth offers small group CST and structured day support in a calm, supportive setting. Sessions use conversation and themed group activities to actively stimulate memory, language, logic and planning, helping people maintain mental agility and quality of life over time. From Exmouth, The Ness supports people in Exmouth, Budleigh Salterton, Woodbury and surrounding areas.
 
Pop up CST courses are available in other areas subject to demand.

The Filo project provides day care for older people in small group settings in hosts own homes. It provides homely environments, and highly individualised support. They offer support across Devon.

Admiral Nurses visiting the Nationwide Building Society Tiverton

The Nationwide Building Society are hosting Admiral Nurse Clinics, confidential appointments with speacial dementia nurses. These clinics provide expert support for individuals affercted by dementia, including advise on diagnosis, emotional support, and practical care strategies. Appointments last 45 minutes and can be booked online or by contacting the Dementia UK Helpline
