How your organisation can get involved
As a business based in Exeter, giving back to your local community has never been more important than right now !
Gifts in kind or time from your team can be as valuable as financial donations.
The options to support your community are endless,it can be as simple as a coffee morning to get your team together, supporting a colleague who is running a marathon with individual sponsorship or time off to train, providing materials or tools for one of our many projects or making Age UK Exeter your Charity of the Year !
We are not a huge charity but with over 30 years experience our services are highly valued across our city and we’re very proud that 93p in every pound you raise goes directly into our services supporting older people across Exeter.

If you’re keen to make a difference there are lots of activities to choose from, and we will support you in your endeavour. If you don’t fancy organising something your self, why not just come along to one of our events and have some fun. .
Watch out for our Walk for Dementia, sponsored walk, Community Choir Carol service this Christmas & Gala Dinner in 2024.

Choose Age UK Exeter as your Charity of the Year
Why not support Age UK Exeter as your business Charity of the Year. It would be amazing to receive your support and in return we would offer joint branding on our fundraising materials and our events, as well as positive PR and local media coverage.
Display a collection tin
Could you display a collection tin in your office or shop? This would help us to collect much needed donations to continue our vital work in Exeter.
Donate a raffle prize or service
Could you donate a prize for one of our many fundraising raffles and competitions - perhaps a bottle of wine, a box of chocolates or biscuits, pamper goodies, gift vouchers, or free services?
Donate equipment
If you would like to donate a piece of equipment, we would be very grateful. We usually need raiser chairs for people in our day centres, kitchen equipment for our lunch clubs, and computer equipment for our staff.
Time out for your employees to volunteer
Could you send a team to help out at an event or activity? It's a great way for staff to bond by working together. Previous staff teams have served afternoon teas, painted our day centre and prepared our Budding Friends allotment for the next growing season.Knowing your team has helped support vulnerable older people in Exeter is certainly something to shout about.
During 2023 we are supporting a number of running events and would love your team members to volunteer on our water or cheer stations during the events. Just ask Catherine about the types of activities you can be involved with.
Run a fundraising event
Your employees could run their own fundraiser to help raise vital funds for our work. Is there a better way to bring your team together with a cake sale, dress down day, a sponsored walk or run or a raffle. There's so many things they could do - contact Catherine for more ideas!
