Our Digital Champions project has got off to such a great start! Our wonderful volunteers have been supporting people around the county with many different technology queries. We’ve had people connecting their phones to their cars to play music, setting themselves up to join online church services, ordering prescriptions online and so much more! Alongside all of the help our volunteers can offer, with different questions or troubles, we can also join people to our Tablet Loan Scheme!
Learning to use a tablet device can be really helpful, they’re much more portable, light weight and but have a screen which is larger than a mobile phone. With this in mind, they’re a great device to use for everyday activities such as video calling family, reading books online, watching catch up TV Apps and much more! Tablet devices, like the one shown above, can be loaned to you or a loved one to learn how to use them, improve existing skills or even to trial whether or not you like using the device before purchasing one!
