Skills for Health 'Our Health Heroes Award'

Published on 21 April 2025 04:29 PM

We are so thrilled to share some amazing news.

Our Personalised Independence Programme here at Age UK Herne Bay and Whitstable has been selected as a finalist from hundreds of nominations for the Skills for Health 'Our Health Heroes Award' in the category of Best Healthcare Workforce Collaboration and we have been invited to attend a glittering award ceremony at the Queen Elizabeth II (QEII) Centre in London for the Our Health Heroes Awards 2025 where winners will be announced. It promises to be a fantastic day of celebration!

Following hundreds of nominations and a rigorous judging process, our nomination stood out to the panel for meeting and surpassing the established criteria and recognising our unwavering dedication and outstanding contributions to healthcare. We are honoured that our collaborative work with our partner agencies and the NHS has received this recognition. The category acknowledges that the healthcare sector works hand-in-hand with other organisations every day, to improve outcomes for patients and clients.

We can’t wait to attend the Awards and are keeping everything crossed for winning as this would mean so much to the whole team.
