Summer Festival 2026

Published on 13 July 2026 02:02 PM

There was a wonderful community atmosphere at Age UK Lincolnshire's Summer Festival on Friday, as visitors enjoyed a day of shopping, entertainment and friendly faces at the Petwood Hotel in Woodhall Spa.

The event brought together a fantastic selection of local independent businesses and makers, offering everything from handmade gifts and homeware to delicious cakes, fudge, candles, artwork, jewellery and crafts.

Stalls included: Jane's Fabric Gifts, Sassy Spirit, Jane Quirky Birdie, Heather's Kitchen, Design by LoveLi, Bertwizzle Designs, Glorious Gifts, Reading Under the Covers, Sunset Candles, Crafty Ladies, Tied by Juniper, Cottage Cakes, Rosetta Gifts, SoDesign, Burnt Offerings, Sir Joseph Banks Society, Firsby Fudge and bread + cheese.

Visitors also had the opportunity to meet members of the Age UK Lincolnshire team and find out more about the wide range of support available across the county. Sarah from the Information & Advice team, Elaine from the Digital Team, Sandi from Support Services, Kelly and Hannah from the I Forget Service, and Sarah from the charity shop team were all on hand throughout the day to answer questions and offer advice.

A special highlight of the afternoon was a performance from the children of St Andrew's Primary School, whose wonderful singing delighted everyone in attendance before the grand raffle was drawn at 2pm. Winners have now been contacted.

Melanie Strawson, event organiser and Marketing Assistant at Age UK Lincolnshire, said:

"It was fantastic to see so many people come together to support the Summer Festival. As well as raising essential funds to support local people, events like this are an opportunity to bring people together, showcase brilliant local businesses and help people discover the support that's available in their community.

"Every pound raised helps us continue providing vital services for older people across Lincolnshire, helping them stay independent, connected and supported. We'd like to thank everyone who came along, our wonderful stallholders for making the event such a success, St Andrew's Primary School for their lovely performance, and the fantastic team at the Petwood Hotel for helping everything run so smoothly."

We would like to thank everyone who attended and helped make the day such a success, and we look forward to welcoming the community to future events throughout the year!
