Our Living Well Officers are able to offer general advice on state pensions and claiming additional benefits. They are able to offer advice and support in what steps you can take to receive the benefits you're entitled to.
In 2019-20 we helped almost 3,000 people to claim an extra £1.3 million in benefits, this additional income can help assist over 65s to maintain their independence.
Attendance Allowance
We can support you with the application of Attendance Allowence, if you are unable to do so yourself. For example, if you are visually impaired or are unable to write.
We can support you by:
- Advising whether you should apply for attendance allowance
- Assisting you to fill out the form
- Advising you how to apply for mandatory reconsideration (if necessary)
