Age UK Norfolk and Aviva: Bringing People Together

Published on 16 December 2025 12:47 PM

The Marble Hall was filled with laughter, music, and the smell of mince pies as Age UK Norfolk and Aviva hosted their latest Bringing People Together event. Around 40 staff, volunteers, and service users from Age UK Norfolk, alongside Aviva employees, came together to enjoy a festive afternoon of socialising and connection.

This was the third event Aviva has hosted this year, providing a wonderful chance for people to meet new faces, catch up with familiar friends, and soak up the festive spirit. Highlights included live music from the Aviva choir and plenty of seasonal treats, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all.

Age UK Norfolk CEO, Ann Donkin, who joined the celebrations, said:
"Seeing our service users and volunteers enjoying themselves, making new connections, and sharing laughter is exactly what these events are all about. It’s these moments of joy and companionship that make such a difference, especially for those who might otherwise spend the season alone."

Aviva staff volunteer their time to attend these events, helping to foster meaningful connections with our service users. Many attendees now look forward to these gatherings as a highlight of the year, adding them to their calendars in anticipation.

Thanks to Aviva’s generous support, funding is now secured for three more events in 2026, ensuring that even more people in Norfolk can come together, build friendships, and enjoy shared experiences.
