Quality Standards
In April 2017 we passed the Age UK Quality Programme for Information and Advice, allowing us to be assessed for the Advice Quality Standard (AQS). This is the only advice agency-specific, independently audited quality standard in the voluntary sector. It demonstrates that our service is a well-managed one, our staff have relevant and up-to-date knowledge and that the quality of advice we provide remains high. The AQS was awarded to us in December 2017.
Furthermore, we are proud to have achieved the Age UK Charity Quality Standard (CQS) which recognises the high standard of our performance as an organisation. The Standard is externally assessed and awarded to members of the Age UK network that have demonstrated they are well governed and managed; have a clear direction and strategy; and are committed to ensuring the well-being and safety of older people, their staff and volunteers. We achieved the Standard following a rigorous examination of our work and a full day assessment visit by leading experts SGS.
We're proud to have achieved Norfolk County Council's 'In Good Company' quality mark. 'In Good Company' is a campaign to raise the issue of loneliness and to encourage everyone to do something about it. Our Telephone Befriending service has also been awarded the Mentoring and Befriending Approved Provider Standard.
We have been awarded the Quality of Information and Signposting Standard (QISS) 23-24 Quality Marque. The QISS Quality Marque shows our dedication to quality standards and demonstrates that we prioritise providing accurate, helpful information and signposting services across Norfolk.
