Age UK Norfolk Trustee's Festive Fundraiser

Published on 03 December 2025 12:31 PM

Age UK Norfolk trustee, Mark Barry, is taking his annual walk to the next level this festive season, turning it into a special fundraiser to support older people across the county.

On Tuesday 17th December, Mark will be walking from Cromer to Sheringham, rain or shine, to raise vital funds for Age UK Norfolk’s services, which provide advice, befriending, and practical support to older people in need. Every step he takes will help brighten the lives of older residents this Christmas.

So far, Mark has already raised £270 and is aiming to reach a target of £500.Speaking about his challenge, Mark said: “I’m thrilled to take on this walk for such an important cause. Age UK Norfolk makes a huge difference to older people in our community, and I hope my steps will inspire others to get involved and show their support."

Funds raised will support services that help older people stay warm, supported, and connected during the festive season and beyond. From befriending calls to advice on benefits, help to manage household finances, or taking steps to regain confidence using public transport, every donation makes a real difference.
