Pride In Place North Tyneside

Pride in Place is a long-term investment programme focused on improving neighbourhoods by putting local people at the heart of decision making.
Sir Alan Campbell MP is actively involved in the Pride in Place programme for Percy Main. He secured the funding for the area, which aims to empower local people to shape the future of their neighbourhood.
North Tyneside Council is asking for your views on the main challenges in the area, what the priorities for investment should be (approximately £2m per year), opportunities people would like to see materialize and how they’d prefer to remain informed.
Age UK North Tyneside is proudly involved in the initial consultation and engagement work which comes to a close on May 21. Paula, our Engagement Coordinator, will be discussing the proposal with older residents. We have an opportunity to contribute our thoughts too as an organisation and staff based in the area.
Paper surveys will be made available, or you can contribute online too. To keep up to date with the Pride in Place programme and the upcoming consultations, sign up to on North Tyneside Council’s Have Your Say engagement hub.
You can also join our network of Age Friendly Ambassadors to share your views on how we can make North Tyneside the best place for older people. See where our team will be throughout April here.
