Age Friendly Banbury

Age Friendly Banbury is an exciting new joint initiative to make Banbury a great place to grow older in.

There are many things which can make growing older difficult, for example poor transport, unsuitable housing, fear of crime, lack of community cohesion, lack of care and support and limited social activities for older people. These are diverse issues which require a wide response. 

Our initial focus is on older people, but when we assess the barriers that older people face, we are usually looking at barriers that other groups also face including children and young people, people with dementia, people with disabilities or anyone else. Our vision is a 'Banbury for all ages’ - a vision of a friendly and more accessible town for everyone.
