The Great Get Together - Afternoon Tea

Over 30 people enjoyed afternoon tea at Critchley Community Hub as part of The Great Get Together celebrations which took place over the weekend of 22-24th June. The Great Get Together recognises the importance of bringing people together and celebrates the memory of MP, Jo Cox. The event was supported by Forever Manchester, who support community activities across Greater Manchester. View the photo gallery of the afternoon.

Over 120,000 events took place across the UK and Nichola Swettenham, Service Manager said: “The Great Get Together is a fantastic opportunity to invite people who regularly use the hub to a relaxing and enjoyable afternoon and to enjoy our home-cooked savoury and cake treats.” There was also a fabulous cake sale made by volunteer bakers and a raffle to help raise money to support the hub and Age UK Salford.

The guests were joined by Greater Manchester Deputy Lieutenant, Lorraine Worsley-Carter MBE DL who is a frequent visitor and supporter of Critchley and its many groups and social activities.
