Age UK Southampton offers free and comprehensive information on a wide range of subjects affecting older people - from Pension Credit to care packages.

We can help you identify the problem, explain the choices available and help you decide what you want to do. We may be able to provide individual support if you need further help to resolve the problem.

We are members of 'Advice in Southampton' - a working partnership of the key advice agencies within the city who have joined forces to improve services and create additional capacity.

Our team are able to advise whether you might be entitled to specific benefits, claim specific allowancess and help with pension queries as you reach later life.

Our team is here to help you access the services you need for later life. We can help explain issues surrounding residential and non-residential care through to power of attorney, wills and retirement.

We are not able to provide financial advice.

Understanding your options when it comes to moving can reduce stress of a difficult situation. Our team can help you with identifying options to consider.

Alternatively, if you're looking for support with staying independent in your home, we can explore options for getting equipment or finding a trader.

 

Social Activities

Socialising is an important element of later life but can often become difficult due to mobility or knowing what's available.

Our team can help direct you to activities near to you and to organisations that can provide appropriate support.
