Cross-Sector Changemaker. Volunteer Izzy Speaks in Parliament

At Age UK Sutton, we are incredibly proud of our volunteer Izzy, whose dedication to supporting others has recently taken her all the way to the Houses of Parliament.
Izzy volunteers with us as a Welcome & Information Volunteer, helping older people in Sutton feel supported and connected. Her warmth and professionalism make a real difference to the lives of local people we support every day.
Izzy recently had the honour of speaking in Parliament through her role with The Mix Charity. Volunteering across multiple charities is giving her insights into the needs of both younger and older generations and shaping her voice as a young changemaker.
Volunteering not only brings invaluable energy, ideas and compassion to organisations like ours; it also helps individuals like Izzy build confidence, gain new skills and grow as leaders.
We’re so proud to have Izzy as part of our team and are always looking for more volunteers to join us. Whether you’re looking to give back, build experience or be part of a supportive community, volunteering with Age UK Sutton can be a powerful and rewarding journey.
