Help us Bring the Magic of Christmas to Local Older People
Published on 28 October 2025 03:47 PM
This year, we're hosting a very special Christmas lunch for local older people in our community. In partnership with Sutton United and the Sutton United Foundation, we're inviting 80 guests, especially those who are most isolated or vulnerable, to enjoy a festive Christmas lunch and an afternoon of companionship and celebration.
To help fund the event, we’re running a Bottle Tombola at Beeches Yulefest on 5th December - and we need your help to make it a success!
We’re looking for bottle donations of all kinds - wine, fizz, spirits, soft drinks, cordials, squash or anything fun and bottled! Big or small, every donation will help us make this Christmas brighter for those who need it most.
For many of our guests, this will be their only Christmas celebration, so your bottle will really help make a difference.
So, if you’ve got a spare bottle (or two!) to donate, please drop it off at one of the following locations by the end of Monday 1st December.
Age UK Sutton offices (10 am to 3pm Monday to Friday) Sutton Gate, 1 Carshalton Road, Sutton, SM1 4LE
(We’re located opposite Café Nero on the one way system, near the Police Station)
Robin Hood Pub
52 West St, Sutton SM1 1SH
Ross’s Fruiterers
130 Central Road, Worcester Park, KT4 8HT
If you’d like to support us in another way, then you can also make a donation here https://www.justgiving.com/charity/ageuksutton
Thank you for helping us share the magic and joy of Christmas!
