Plan for those you love. Support those who need us
This October, Age UK Sutton and Howell Jones Solicitors are offering a limited number of professionally prepared Wills in support of older people across the borough.
Age UK Sutton is delighted to be partnering with Howell Jones Solicitors for Wills Month 2026. By taking part, you'll gain peace of mind knowing your wishes are clearly set out for the future, while making a donation that helps local older people access the support they need to live well.
With a limited number of appointments available throughout October, early booking is recommended.
Why make a Will?
Making a Will is one of the most important things you can do for your family and loved ones.
Without a Will, there is no guarantee that your estate will be distributed according to your wishes. A professionally prepared Will can provide peace of mind, help avoid uncertainty for those you care about and ensure your affairs are in order.
Making or updating a Will is especially important if:
- You own a property
- You have children or grandchildren
- You have recently married, divorced or entered a new relationship
- Your financial circumstances have changed
- You wish to leave gifts to family, friends or charities
- You want your wishes to be clearly documented
The Wills Month Offer
Through our partnership with Howell Jones Solicitors, participants can receive simple Single and simple Mirror Wills.
Single Will
A professionally prepared Single Will.
Suggested minimum donation to Age UK Sutton - £150.
A Single Will would typically cost around £600 plus VAT.
Simple Mirror Wills
Professionally prepared Simple Mirror Wills for couples with the same wishes.
Suggested minimum donation to Age UK Sutton - £250.
Simple Mirror Wills would typically cost around £850 plus VAT.
By choosing to take part, you'll not only gain peace of mind for the future, but you'll also help Age UK Sutton support older people across the borough to stay connected, informed and independent.
There will be additional costs for identity verification (£24 per person) and Land Registry title documents, where required (£10.20 per title).
If your circumstances require a more complex Will or additional legal work, Howell Jones will discuss this with you and agree any additional fees before proceeding.
To qualify under the scheme, all Wills must be completed within three months of the initial appointment.

Honour a life. Help another life live well.
Once you have provided for family and loved ones, you may also wish to consider leaving a gift in your Will to Age UK Sutton.
There is absolutely no obligation to do so, but even a small gift can have a lasting impact on local older people for years to come.
By leaving a gift in your Will, you can honour a life while helping another life live well.
Last year alone, Age UK Sutton supported over 3,200 older people and their families through advice, activities and practical support when they needed it most. We also helped residents access £2.43 million in benefits and financial support they may not otherwise have received, giving many greater financial security and peace of mind. A gift in your Will can ensure this support is available for generations to come.
How Your Donation Helps
Every pound donated through Wills Month stays local and supports the work of Age UK Sutton. As an independent local charity, we rely on the generosity of our community to continue delivering vital services for older people.
Your support could help us:
- Provide trusted information and advice
- Help tackle loneliness and isolation
- Deliver community activities and friendship opportunities
- Reach more local residents who need help the most
Don't miss out! Appointments are limited, so book early to secure your place and gain peace of mind while supporting older people in Sutton.
