Mayor and Mayoress of Margate donate £3000 to our cause

Yesterday the staff at Age UK Thanet were thrilled to be presented with a cheque for £3000 from the Mayor and Mayoress of Margate, Cllr Mick and Shirley Tomlinson. This generous and kind donation was raised from proceeds from the Mayor's Ball which was held at the Winter Gardens on 23rd November 2019. We would like to say a VERY BIG thank you to the Mayor and Mayoress and to everyone who attended the Mayor’s Ball and kindly contributed. It was a fantastic evening which was shared with Vanessa Wood, Age UK Thanet's Chief Officer and Tim Van Vugt, Deputy Chief Officer with the Board of Trustees. A Big Thank you also goes to Fiona Bah our Dementia Services & Therapy Coordinator and to Volunteer Linda Baldwin who helped raise funds from the Tombola on the evening!
