At Age UK Wandsworth, we recognise that a healthy environment is essential to the wellbeing of the older people we support and the wider community we serve across Wandsworth. We are committed to playing our part in protecting the environment and promoting sustainable practices in all we do.

We pledge to reduce our environmental impact by using resources responsibly, minimising waste, and making energy-efficient choices across our services, building, and our community activities. Where possible, we will prioritise environmentally friendly products and suppliers and encourage recycling and reuse.

We will work to raise awareness among staff, volunteers, trustees and the people we support about simple, practical ways to live and work more sustainably. By sharing knowledge and encouraging small changes, we aim to make a positive difference in Wandsworth.

We are also committed to embedding environmental responsibility into our decision-making, regularly reviewing our practices and setting achievable goals to improve our sustainability over time. This is evidenced by our Environmental Policy and our Environmental Development Plan, which are regularly monitored and reviewed by staff and trustees. We also have staff and trustee Environmental Champions, who work together to help our continuous development.

Through all these actions, we aim to support not only the wellbeing of today’s older generation, but also a healthier, more sustainable future for everyone in Wandsworth.
