Memory Tree Café Open Afternoon

Published on 30 May 2019 11:25 AM

Our Memory Tree Café hosted an open afternoon to mark Dementia Action Week at Age UK Croydon. We had an enjoyable afternoon over coffee and cake, with crafts and puzzles, thanks to the Healthier Lifestyle Team, and their amazing volunteers, with lots of laughter and banter. The atmosphere was friendly and informal, as many of our attendees have now become friends.

Bronwyn Rich gave us a very relaxing and informative demonstration of hand massage with lots of audience participation, and our attendees were all very relaxed after learning this new skill! Hakeem Anjorin of Right at Home gave an interesting presentation about care services and the qualities of a good care service. Brian Calvert, our Financial Advocate and other colleagues were also available for information and advice.

We would like to thank Rachel Carse and Croydon Dementia Action Alliance, for supporting us to make this a successful and enjoyable event.
