Celebrating one of our Trustees!

Published on 10 June 2021 09:36 AM

One of our Trustees, Rebecca Broad (pictured), joined the team in November 2020 and has a vast amount of experience within the fundraising and charity sector in and outside of her professional career.

At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Rebecca founded Pamperaid. As a non-profit Community Interest Company, Pamperaid supports the mental health and wellbeing of UK Causes such as NHS, care teams, community groups and charities by providing pamper care boxes with the support of businesses and brands across the country.

Rebecca has seen incredible success with this venture, so much so, that Rebecca has received a personal letter from Prime Minister Boris Johnson congratulating her on her achievements.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson said: “Congratulations on the success of ‘Pamperaid’ which has brought over £60,000 worth of beauty products to NHS staff. It is astonishing how much you have achieved in one year and I was delighted to learn that you will be continuing your fantastic work beyond the pandemic.

“Our NHS workers do so much to look after us and you have discovered a brilliant way of looking after them.”

Rebecca said: “To be recognised for my work in creating ‘Pamperaid’ and supporting our NHS with pamper boxes is truly humbling. Since the pandemic began ‘Pamperaid’ has created over 2,000 boxes that have been sent to hospitals across the UK. To be able to have the opportunity to support our incredible NHS is an honour. Thank you to everyone who has supported the projects journey.”

With over £60,000 worth of products and over 2000 boxes sent out so far, Rebecca will continue to send out donations to anyone or any group who has been nominated. You can find out more about Pamperaid here.
