FREE Falls Awareness Training
Available to individuals, groups and communities across Derbyshire!
Book onto our pre-arranged sessions via the link below, or get in touch to discuss bespoke group sessions.
Falls Friends Training (60 mins) will equip you to:
- Identify risk factors for yourself and others
- Learn about simple ways to address these
- Feel more confident discussing and informally signposting others to falls prevention pathways
- Make small, clear commitments for personal or local actions you can take to help reduce falls risk
- Consider holding a Falls Awareness event
Falls Ambassadors Training (90 mins) will equip you to:
- Identify risk factors for yourself and others
- Learn about simple ways to address these
- Feel more confident raising the subject of falls with your volunteers, staff and service users
- Signpost others to falls prevention pathways
- Consider falls risk factors when completing dynamic and written risk assessments in a workplace setting
- Make clear commitments for local and organisational actions you can take to help reduce falls risk
- Consider holding a Falls Awareness event (information about small grants to support this will be offered in the training)
