About us

Age UK Doncaster is a local charity with over 30 years of experience supporting older people in Doncaster. We are dedicated to carrying out this mission through supporting and providing a wide range of services, projects and activities.

About the role

As Home from Hospital Assistant Organiser you will support the team to provide our Home from Hospital / Hospital Avoidance services. You will be responsible for the smooth running of the day to day activities including allocation of work, carrying out risk assessments and formulating support plans with service users, taking part in the on call rota and carrying out the direct provision of low level support with service users in accordance with our Policy framework and our vision, mission and values.

Hours: 17.5 hours per week Wednesday to Friday with flexibility required. Out of hours weekend support on a rota basis.

Salary: £8.91 per hour plus additional on call payments

We have vacancies for Cleaners to carry out domestic cleaning tasks in the homes of older people in the Cantley, Bessacarr, Intake, Wheatley and Wheatley Hills areas. Own transport desirable. Various working patterns available - will be discussed at interview.

Homecare Support Worker

Join our team as a Homecare Support Worker and you will be part of a skilled and professional team dedicated to promoting individual's independence, dignity and choice. As a Homecare Support Worker you will be primarily supporting service users within their own homes with various aspects of their daily live. Support can range from domestic tasks, shopping and social activities to personal care, continence management and assistance with medication.

We can offer;

  • Rate of pay £8.40 per hour
  • Travel Time paid at £8.40 per hour.
  • Guaranteed minimum contracted hours

No experience is necessary as we offer a thorough induction course which includes shadowing with an experienced Homecare Support Worker. You will also be supported to gain your RQF level 2 / 3 in Health and Social Care which is a nationally recognised qualification.

We have full and part time hours available, offering regular working patterns and alternate weekend working.
