On World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, we ask everyone to play their part: learn the signs of abuse, start conversations, and think about the conditions under which you and your family want to grow old.

Abuse is often hidden and can involve physical, psychological, sexual and economic harm, neglect, coercive control and exploitation.. Age UK reports that data shows that one in twenty people aged 60-74 and one in thirty people aged 75 and over experienced domestic abuse in 2025.

Together, we can build a future where every older person can age safely and with dignity.
