Maria Aranjo

Maria is a retired social worker with 25 years of working in a Social Services environment. She is dedicated and enthusiastic and has brought an added dimension to the needs and the work of the Charity. She has integrity, good independent judgement and can work effectively as a member of a team.

She has been a voluntary worker with Age UK Enfield in the Information and Advice Team since January 2013, assisting clients to apply for the Attendance Allowance, the DLA, the PIP, Pension Credit and other benefits such as housing and council tax benefits, applying for a Blue Badge / renewing it or any other help or advice that the client needs. She works with a very efficient team under the guidance and supervision of manager Denise Perkins.

Maria was elected to her first three-year term as a trustee of Age UK Enfield at the 2016 AGM, to serve until the 2019 AGM. She has now been nominated for another three-year term until 2022.
