Heavitree Social Group
Held at Heavitree Evangelical Church, Fore Street, Heavitree. If you are age 50 plus and enjoy meeting new people why not pop in for tea, coffee and biscuits. There is always someone to talk to, we also have a variety of activities including talks, quizzes and musical activities.
Beacon Heath Social Group
Held at Beacon Heath Church, King Arthur's Road. If you are age 50 plus and enjoy meeting new people why not pop in for tea, coffee and biscuits. There is always someone to talk to, we also have a variety of activities including talks, quizzes and musical activities.
St David's Imperial Social Group
Held at the Imperial Hotel, New North Road. This is a lively group of people who enjoy each other's company and who warmly welcome newcomers. It's a group that loves a good debate, thrives on new learning from visiting speakers, and shares the love of humour and laughter. The coffee is good and the company even better so just drop in.
St David's Imperial History Group
Held at the Imperial Hotel, New North Road. Do you have an interest in local and national history? Would you enjoy sitting in relaxed company, drinking a great cup of coffee/tea and discussing some aspect of this nation's long and varied story? The subjects are always interesting, the group is always welcoming.
Visually Impaired Social Group
Held at the cafe in Exeter Central Library, Castle Street. This social group is for older people with a visual impairment. Meetings are run by sighted volunteers who are happy to support new people by accompanying them and introducing them to the group for their first few meetings.This is a very popular group so please be sure to call to check that we can accomodate you before attending for the first time.
Soundbase Hearing Impaired Social Group
Held at our Sycamores Centre in Mount Pleasant. Soundbase is a small social group for older people whose hearing loss prevents them from joining larger groups and participating in ordinary social activities. The group enjoys weekly meetings and occasional trips out.
Shared Reading Group
Held at our Cowick Street Centre in St Thomas. A small group for older people , relax and listen over a cuppa and a cake, share your thoughts on what you've heard, or simply just enjoy having someone to read to you. The group occurs on the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month from 2.00 -3.30.
