❤️An invite to join the Council Safeguarding Adults group
Safeguarding refers to the processes and practices that aim to protect children and adults from harm, abuse and neglect. It's about promoting their welfare, well-being, and enabling them to live free from harm, ensuring they have the opportunity to reach their full potential. The Safeguarding Adults Team works with adults with care and support needs over the age of 18.
The team who are based within Islington Council gave a short talk about their Safeguarding Adults group for residents. They are looking for Islington residents with recent experience of using health and social care services or who have been through the safeguarding process themselves, or know someone who has, to join their Service user and Carer group.
For more information, please see the Council Safeguarding Adults flyer - also in Easy-read format.
