  • Stay Home Safely Task Worker

    • 21 hours (3 days Friday - Sunday)
    • Contract ends on the 31st March 2022
    • 21 hours (£12,700pa)
    • 26 days annual leave prorated based on hours

    The Stay Home Safely team are here to support people that are having to isolate for 10 days due to COVID-19 and offer the help that is needed to stay at home and stay safe.

    You will be assigned with practical tasks that need to be carried out so that clients can safely self isolate at home for 10 days and not have to go out. This could include a number of tasks for that person such as dog walking, shopping, energy meter top ups, medication collection or picking up a hot meal.

  • Handyperson

    • 35 hours per week

    • £23, 412 per annum
    • Holiday - 26 days a year (plus bank holidays) 

    The Handyperson Service carries out basic repairs, improvements or adaptations for older people in Lambeth.

The Kickstart Scheme is open to people that are aged 16-24 that are currently claiming Universal Credit and are at risk of long-term unemployment. Kickstart jobs are funded by the Government to offer exciting opportunities for young people to gain valuable work experience.

  • MYDigital Community Project Assistant (Digital Guru)

    This role will work on the MYDigital project, helping AUK clients to get savvy online.  They'll travel around the borough teaching people the digital skills they need to book GP appointments, send and receive emails, order ASDA shops, WhatsApp video call their besties etc.  They'll also help to project manage and administrate the project where possible, including managing our project database and help to coordinate volunteers, with the support of colleagues and the project manager.

    Strong skills in project management are a real plus here if applicants want to take on more responsibility for managing the project as a whole!

  • MYCommunity Companion (AKA Support Work Assistant)

    This job is all about supporting our GP Link Workers & Neighbourhood Wellbeing Workers with jobs related to the support work they do.  These services help clients in times of need, often when they are facing issues such as poor mental or physical health, financial problems, isolation & loneliness, lack of employment or educational opportunities, debt, or are in need of housing, benefits and other types of support.

    The MYCommunity Companion will help with our client's recovery journeys, helping people to get back on track in their lives, in the ways that are important to them  This will be a varied role and the workers responsibilities will grow and develop, but typical examples of the kind of help this worker will do include for example attending events/groups with clients who are too nervous to go alone, helping people stay on top of paperwork, helping with benefits/housing form-filling, helping clients access new services & supporting them to become more independent.

  • Gateway Phone Support & Admin Assistant

    This role will help our phone line 'Gateway' team and manager to run our telephone service.  Our Gateway phone line is one of Lambeth's main telephone support numbers for people in need.  We have lots of people calling for lots of different reasons, but what unites them all is that they all need help in some way, ranging from simple things like how to contact certain council services to how to get emergency food parcels and other types of crisis response. 

    The worker will help with a variety of administrative support tasks that will improve the capacity of the team, and will also provide key support on the phone line supporting and answering to the needs of clients, with support of course from experienced colleagues.  This will include responding to clients issues and making sure they're referred to the correct place, including making sure they get the help they need in a crisis.

  • Volunteer & Community Programs Assistant

    This role will help across all programs within the MYNeighbour service, our community & volunteering service.  They'll help to support our befriending, home cooks, MYDigital & other programmes.  They'll get involved in working with clients, helping to coordinate volunteers, administering our database, helping to collate feedback and representing the service at community and other events.  

    This is for you if you feel happy multi-tasking, have good attention to detail, are comfortable with the administration as well as engaging with clients, and importantly enjoy having a chat with people to explain what we do and encourage people to get involved!  This can also be a very creative role too, so if you want to get involved in creating new community & volunteering programmes then this is the role for you!

  • Volunteer Coordination & Recruitment Assistant

    This role will support our Volunteer Coordinator to manage and recruit our volunteers across all of our various volunteering programmes.  You'll get involved in all aspects of volunteer recruitment, from designing the roles with our project teams, promoting for them through our various channels, and then recruiting and onboarding them, including welcoming them to training and completing their background checks.

    Skills in administration, attention to detail, organisation and ability to work alone will be helpful here, as will strong written & spoken communication skills.  You'll be joining a friendly and supportive team and we'll support you along the way!

  • Community Rewards Agent

    This role will support our MYSocial program, and it'll be all about making connections with local businesses to help get deals for our members.  It will be a sales-ey type role but with a social cause, and there'll be lots of scope for you to get creative in terms of how you engage with various businesses!   

    The worker will be contacting businesses via email, phone and going to visit them, and encouraging the businesses to sign up for our community deals program, thus giving older people a chance to get more deals from local businesses!
