About Age UK Lambeth
We support older people in Lambeth to live enriched, productive and purposeful lives: challenging the stigma of ageing, reducing social isolation and ensuring they get the right support at the right time. We are kind, person-centred and outcome-focused - finding solutions that work by listening, being flexible and including older people in delivering services.
What you’ll be doing?
Through Safe at Home, you will support older residents who have been or are vulnerable to being victims of crime at home. You will work with the local police to provide home security interventions for older residents who the police report need support, and you will work through our existing community services to find appropriate older people for the project. You will advise and carry out home safety and security checks throughout Lambeth. The types of support you will provide will include fitting window and bar locks, changing cylinder locks and doing home security checks on the properties of older residents, among others.
This is a vital service to ensure older people are supported to feel safe and secure while they age at home.
