Bridging the access gap in Tyne and Wear

An initiative to encourage more people to take up sign language as an extra language and skill has launched.

Available to Tyne and Wear residents, the FREE Signs4Life scheme, which is due to begin in April 2021, helps people communicate and engage with children and adults with hearing impairments.

Signs4Life is leading efforts towards a society in which people with disabilities have full access and are working to raise the public and political awareness of disability provision.

For more details, email Radiyya at: community@signs4life.org and mark your email as 'Tyne'.
