Havelock Place is North Tyneside's first specialist dementia assisted independent living community, helping people live independently for longer with the reassurance of support whenever it is needed.
Created alongside people living with dementia, family carers, the University of Stirling and Admiral Nurses, Havelock Place has been thoughtfully designed to support wellbeing, confidence and quality of life, so people can continue living life their way.
Maintaining independence for longer
Residents enjoy their own dementia-friendly apartment within a welcoming community, with a care team on site, shared social spaces, activities and outings, a pub, a corner shop and flexible living options including bungalows as needs change.
Family and friends also play an important role. Friends of Havelock is a dedicated volunteer group that raises funding to support activities and events for residents. You can follow their latest news through the Havelock Place Facebook group.
