Volunteers help hundreds of older people in Northumberland each week, dedicating their time to the services that people rely on - would you like to lend a hand?

Who can volunteer?
Almost anyone can be a volunteer. We have a wide range of roles which suit different people and different skills.
How much time do I need to give?
It depends on the volunteer role you are interested in. Some people give an hour a week, other people do more.

Support local services
Make the most of your skills to help improve the lives of older people in your community. There are opportunities in lunch clubs, day centres and at our centre for older people in Ashington.
Volunteer at events
Over the year, Age UK Northumberland delivers and participates in a number of fundraising events that generate vital funds to support our services for older people. We need volunteers to help at these events.
Become a brand ambassador
Would you like to help older people in your local community? We're looking for ambassadors to spead the word about Age UK Northumberland and the services that we offer to help older people enjoy later life.
Would you like to volunteer on our Board of Trustees?
