Age UK Northumberland is a local independent charity working in the community to support older people, their families and carers. We want everyone to be able to love later life.

Who we are

Age UK Northumberland is a local independent charity, which provides services for older adults throughout Northumberland.  In common with all Age UKs, our central service is free information, advice and advocacy. Other services are designed to meet local needs and currently include: personal care, exercise and falls prevention classes, befriending, lunch clubs and day centres.

The Charity was registered with the Charity Commission in 1998. We are a brand partner within the network of 170 Age UKs, each an independent charity working to support local older adults and five larger national charities, Age UK, Age UK Cymru, Age UK Northern Ireland, Age UK Scotland and Age UK International, provide large-scale services. In addition to information and advice, the national charities run a retail network of 450 shops, fund research programmes and lead our campaigning & awareness raising.
